Job Description
Are you a B1 or B2 licensed engineer looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming, low-pressure environment? A reputable UK-based aviation company is seeking experienced engineers to join their team, specializing in the storage and maintenance and end-of-life processes of A320 and B737 aircraft.
Role Overview:
We are seeking two licensed engineers (one B1 mechanical and one B2 avionics) with type ratings on A320 and B737 aircraft. Candidates should hold a UK CAA OR EASA license, with a preference for EASA-certified engineers. This role is ideal for professionals who are interested in a supportive, balanced work-life setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct 7, 14, and 30-day checks and assist in preparing aircraft for storage
• Occasionally conduct routine line maintenance on A320 and B737 aircraft to prepare them for storage and disassembly, including troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Support aircraft disassembly processes, focusing on safe removal and documentation of valuable components.
• Assist in inventory management by cataloging parts and maintaining detailed maintenance logs for each stage of the disassembly.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and recycling standards during component recovery, following both UK CAA and EASA regulations.
• Conduct final checks before aircraft storage, ensuring all safety protocols and documentation are in place.
Work Environment:
• Location: Primarily based at a UK facility; minimal travel required
• Shift Pattern: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday; Friday until 4:00 PM
• Workload: Moderate and manageable, suitable for experienced professionals seeking a balanced environment
Position Details:
• Contract Type: Permanent or contract-based, depending on candidate preference
• Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
